What is hazelnut oil?
Organic virgin hazelnut oil is best known for its exceptional taste (finesse and originality).
It enhances all flavors. It should not be forgotten, however, that this oil provides a significant intake of oleic acid (preventing an increase in bad cholesterol).
Virgin hazelnut oil is rich in oleic and linoleic acids and has good rheological properties.
It is ideal for massages as it is very fluid, combining suppleness and penetration. It also has a non-greasy feel.

Hazelnut oil first appeared in the Bronze Age. It was the main source of dietary fat thanks to its wide availability and generous oleic content.
Hazelnut oil was obtained from hazelnuts reduced to a paste, using rudimentary stones.
Between the 15th and 17th centuries, it was frequently used in traditional Piedmontese cuisine.
It has remained the same over the millennia, and today is a precious ally in the kitchen, as a condiment for vegetables, cheeses, vegetable or cereal soups, raw meats, fish carpaccio, fruits and desserts.
Thanks to its properties, hazelnut oil is now widely used in the medical and cosmetic fields.
