Avocado Oil Emile Noël Guinea Spinneret
From the outset, Emile Noël has acted like a true explorer, seeking out the best seeds to create the best oils.
When it comes to avocado oil, it must be produced as close as possible to the place of cultivation, to extract the highest quality oil.
And so, in 2018, the Emile Noël development project was born in Guinea, a country with a long history of avocado cultivation.
This project consists of adding value to avocados in their natural state (no specific cultivation and no water irrigation!) by building an on-site oil mill employing around ten people.
It is through sustainable, long-term approaches that the Emile Group confirms its determination to stand out from the crowd and believe in its values.
Écolivares Garnier: La Finca Familiale
In 2015, the dream of David Garnier and his family will come true: Huilerie Emile Noël will once again have its own olive grove.
Located in Alameda, Andalusia, the “Finca” has 22,000 irrigated trees producing three varieties of olives (Hojiblanca, Manzanilla, Picual).
For the whole company, this return to our roots is a powerful reminder of the reality of working the land with respect for nature and the people who cultivate it.
The investment made with the purchase of the farm was the starting point for an exceptional year in which Huilerie Emile Noël worked hard to bring this unique heritage back to life.
This project will enable us to better control this sector and manage olive oil from fruit to oil.
The Mali Foundation
It employs 15 full-time staff, including 12 internal controllers. Supervised by a manager, these technical advisors are trained by Ecocert in the rules of organic farming and BIOPARTENAIRE® exchanges.
Distributed throughout the different production zones, they monitor farming activities and train producers (compliance with specifications, seeds, crop management).
For every kilo of organic sesame purchased, Groupe Emile pays a premium into a cooperative development fund to support the foundation. This support encourages growers to join forces and structure themselves to make collective progress in their cultivation practices, improve harvest quality and secure sales contracts. The foundation supports the organization of cooperatives and finances agricultural equipment (tools, tarpaulins, storage areas).
The Emile Noël Foundation in Mali has several objectives:
- Ensuring the long-term transparency of development funds provided by sesame buyers BIOPARTENAIRE® and reinvested in the sector (village cooperatives, stores, buildings and work tools, technical support, etc.), as well as improving the quality of life of producers and their families (community facilities, social services for education and health, etc.).
- Leverage the know-how acquired over 17 years to diversify our supply chains in Mali (cashew nuts, fonio, etc.).
- To become a skills and training center dedicated to the creation and management of organic and fair trade supply chains.
- Lead a network of technical, logistical and financial support to respond to requests (projects, support, commitments, partnerships, etc.) from other operators and international organizations (ethical companies, NGOs, etc.).
