What is Yellow Nutsedge oil?
Yellow nutsedge is native to Spain and tropical Africa. Tiger nutsedge is the tuber of the herbaceous plant Chufa, a member of the papyrus family.
It has been used for decades in oil form.
The Arabs and Egyptians were already using it for cosmetic purposes.
This cold-pressed oil contains unsaturated fatty acids, notably oleic acid.
It is particularly recommended for massage after hair removal.

Souchet is one of the oldest crops grown in ancient Egypt. This tuber has conquered the whole Mediterranean basin, where it is still appreciated, particularly in Spain, where a tigernut-based drink called horchata de chufa is prepared.
Yellow nutsedge is also eaten as a delicacy in North Africa, where its sweet taste is reminiscent of hazelnuts. It can be processed into juice, flour or oil.
Yellow nutsedge has interesting nutritional characteristics. This makes it a favorite food for people with gluten and/or lactose allergies.
