Fair Trade Fortnight – HEN channels

Since 1920, Huilerie Emile Noël has attached great importance to the quality of its organic raw materials. Huilerie Emile Noël was a pioneer of fair trade in the 80s, when it developed the first organic, traceable supply chain in West Africa. Now it scours France and the rest of the world in search of producers of top-quality organic fruits and seeds.

The oils used in Emile Noël food products and Emma Noël cosmetics come from honest, long-term win-win partnerships.

The organic sesame seed chain created 18 years ago and certified BIOPARTENAIRE® can testify to this. It comprises over 8,000 producers based in the north-east of Bamako in Mali, supplying Huilerie with over 1,000 tonnes of sesame per year. This success led to the creation of a local Foundation to develop and perpetuate these exchanges.

Since then, other chains, built on the same model, have produced shea, baobab, hazelnut, argan and avocado for Huilerie Emile Noël.
