What is St John's Wort oil?

The color of St. John’s wort oil is due to the hypericin (red pigment) contained in the tiny glandular hairs dotting the petals and sepals.

St. John’s Wort red oil is ideal for use in frictions and unctions (relaxing massage).
It is recommended for soothing burns and sunburn. Used daily, it maintains skin softness and suppleness.

It also helps prevent the formation of stretch marks.

Its history

St. John’s wort has been known as a flower since Antiquity. In the Middle Ages, it was dried and then used orally to treat mood disorders, insomnia, anxiety…

Legend has it that St. John’s wort was once used to protect against the devil. It was harvested on Midsummer’s Day and hung from the ceiling to ward off evil spells and spirits.
